Mahindra XEV 9e and BE6 Now Feature Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Mahindra has officially rolled out a significant software update for its electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE6, introducing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. This enhancement ensures seamless smartphone connectivity, elevating the in-car infotainment experience for users.
✔ Standard Across All Variants
The wireless connectivity features are now standard across all variants of both models, from the base Pack One to the top-tier Pack Three. Mahindra has confirmed that all new factory-dispatched vehicles come with this feature pre-installed, eliminating the need for post-delivery software updates or patches.

The integration of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is facilitated by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset, supporting the vehicles’ advanced infotainment systems. Both SUVs boast dual 12.3-inch displays, 5G connectivity, built-in apps, and remote vehicle control features, offering a comprehensive connected car experience.
✔ Update Availability for Existing Owners
While new deliveries come equipped with the latest software, existing owners may need to visit authorized dealerships to receive the update. Mahindra has yet to confirm the availability of this update through over-the-air (OTA) methods.
✔ Distinct Personalities: XEV 9e vs. BE6
- XEV 9e: Priced from ₹21.9 lakh, it emphasizes luxury and comfort, featuring a coupe-style design, triple screens, augmented reality head-up display, Level 2+ driver assistance, and a 16-speaker sound system. It offers a range of 656 km.
- BE6: Starting at ₹18.9 lakh, the BE6 offers a sportier drive with rear-wheel drive, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds, a unique “Boost” mode, and a range of 683 km. Its design draws inspiration from fighter jets, focusing on performance.
✔ Market Response and Production
At launch, the XEV 9e and BE6 received over 30,000 bookings within a single day. Mahindra has since shipped more than 11,000 units, with the XEV 9e accounting for 59% of total bookings. To meet the growing demand, Mahindra is ramping up production to reduce waiting periods for customers.
